Welcome to AutismToday.com and to the 3rd Autism Vancouver Biennial Congress 2011! We are delighted by your interest in our event and hope you will decide to join us as an Exhibitor.
The 3rd Autism Vancouver Biennial Congress 2011, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) Across the Lifespan, is an ideal opportunity for companies, non-profit groups, government agencies and other groups to engage with, educate and motivate teachers and other professionals who work with people with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and their families. Why not join us in sharing your product, technology innovation, service or mission to our 500+ participants?
Never before has the general public been more aware of autism as a public health emergency requiring a coordinated policy response, research and development, new technologies and modes of distributing products and services to the autism community. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control estimates that autism affects one in every 110 children. A Harvard study estimates a person with autism requires over U.S. $3.2 million of specialized services in the course of his or her lifetime. How can you product, service or solution aid this growing community?
Mission:
The theme, Autism Spectrum Disorder Across the Lifespan, reflects the reality that autism spectrum disorder presents an evolving set of personal, familial, societal, and therapeutic issues as affected individuals pass from infancy and childhood through adolescence, adulthood, and into later life. The organizing committee adopted this theme to emphasize the need for every family to anticipate, understand and budget for the full array of services individuals on the spectrum will require in their lifetimes. Businesses, with their ability to ability to invest, innovate, commercialize, and distribute new products and services, will play an important role in bringing new tools and strategies to a growing (and aging) population of persons living on the spectrum.
